Three racers of Kazakhstan cycling team Astana were injured in a crash during training at Spanish Tenerife, Vesti.kz reports citing the team’s official website. Dane Jakob Fuglsang, Ukrainian Andrei Grivko and Kazakh Assan Bazayev fell during a high-speed downhill. All three racers were hospitalized. Fuglsang injured his elbow and back and Grivko hurt his hand. Bazayev got a face injury so he had to stop his preparations for the Tour de France and return to mainland Europe for more medical consultations. Other racers of the team Russian Egor Silin, Swede Fredrik Kessiakoff, Belgian Kevin Seeldraeyers, and Kazakhs Dmitriy Muravyev and Alexey Lutsenko were able to break and stop in time and did not suffer any harm. This year's annual multi-stage bicycle race Tour de France starts on June 29 in Porto-Vecchio city, Corsica Island and finishes on July 21 in Paris. The 100th Tour de France consists of 21 stages with the total distance of 3,404 kilometers.
