Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in a tree-planting event in a city park in the capital, citing the Akorda press service.
As part of the “Taza Kazakhstan” eco-festival, President Tokayev, together with environmental activists, planted a tree in the Zhastar City Park in Astana.
In total, nearly 4.5 million seedlings have been planted across all regions of the country over the past three days during the nationwide campaign “Kazakhstan-wide Tree Planting Day,” contributing to the country’s forest resources.

In March of this year, speaking at a session of the National Kurultai in Burabay, the President emphasized that Kazakh citizens should always pay attention to maintaining cleanliness and order.
Tokayev reminded that the “Taza Kazakhstan” campaign has been held nationwide since 2024 and has received widespread public support.
“It’s getting warmer outside, and people are organizing cleanup days and tidying up their surroundings – this is a very important cause. As I’ve said before, ‘Taza Kazakhstan’ is not just a campaign; it should become a daily way of life for every citizen and for our entire nation,” the Head of State previously stated.
According to Tokayev, “Taza Kazakhstan” is not a temporary initiative but a project that should continue year-round.
