Tengrinews.kz - The heating season in Astana has officially come to an end, the city's akimat (local government administration) confirmed on Monday.
“Starting April 21, the heating season in Astana has concluded,” officials announced.
Earlier in April, city authorities explained that the decision to end the heating season is made once the average daily outdoor temperature reaches at least 10°C for five consecutive days.

According to Kazhydromet, the weather in Astana on April 22 was marked by partly cloudy skies, occasional rain, and thunderstorms. Daytime temperatures reached between 21 and 23°C, with winds of 5-10 m/s and gusts up to 14 m/s.
On Wednesday, April 23, forecasters expect cloudy skies with more rain and thunderstorms. The temperature during the day is expected to stay between 21 and 23°C, while nighttime lows will be around 10-12°C. Wind speeds are predicted to reach 9-14 m/s.
Heating season ended in Almaty
The heating season has also ended in Almaty. The process began in stages on April 10, starting with administrative buildings, schools, cultural venues, and other institutions. Residential buildings, dormitories, hotels, and social facilities — including kindergartens, hospitals, schools, vocational institutions, and medical-social facilities — followed.
