Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a telegram of condolences to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in connection with the terrorist attack in the city of Pahalgam, according to a statement from Akorda.
Yesterday, it was reported that a terrorist attack took place in northern India, resulting in civilian casualties.
“The Head of State strongly condemned this brutal act of violence and wished a speedy recovery to all those injured,” the Akorda press service noted.
The day before, armed militants opened fire on tourists at a resort in Indian-controlled Kashmir. At least four attackers shot people at close range. According to the latest media reports, 27 people were killed, 12 were injured, many of whom are in critical condition.
The bodies were found in the Baisaran meadow, located five kilometers from the resort town of Pahalgam, in the disputed region. Indian authorities have classified the incident as a terrorist attack and blamed militants opposing Indian rule.
