Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited a wholesale distribution center in Aktau during his working trip to the Mangystau region, citing the Akorda press service.
According to the Head of State, this is the first facility of its kind built in the region.
"It is expected to play a key role in ensuring food security, reducing the number of intermediaries, and lowering food prices," the Akorda press service said.
According to the information, the complex covers an area of 80,000 square meters and has a storage capacity of 40,000 tons.
"5 billion tenge in investments were attracted for the implementation of the project. The launch of the second phase is planned by the end of the year," the statement said.
It is noted that active work is currently underway to sign contracts with major domestic suppliers.
Earlier, President Tokayev arrived on a working visit to the Mangystau region.
