2010

The Tengrinews.kz news portal, founded by Batyr Kazybayev, launches in Kazakhstan

2011

Tengrinews wins the Grand Prix of the Award.kz prize for the first time. We will repeat this success twice more — in 2012 and 2013

2012

Tengrinews launches a mobile app and becomes the "Best Website of the Decade" according to Award.kz

2013

We launch Tengri TV and begin broadcasting news live from the scene. That same year we join Instagram — today the account has 2.4 million followers

2014

On May 9, the "Pobediteli" project appears on Tengrinews — a database of Kazakh participants in the Great Patriotic War

2015

Tengrinews launches on Telegram. Today our channel is one of the most popular in Kazakhstan

2019

Tengrinews starts on TikTok. Five years later the editorial account reaches 1.6 million followers

2020

We carry out a major website redesign and then publish the most-read news story in Tengrinews history. A piece on 42,500 tenge payments gathers 3.3 million views

2021

Tengrinews releases the documentary film "To Live" about how Kazakhstanis endured the pandemic. The film wins awards at international festivals. Our website wins the national Urker award for "Best News Portal"

2022

In October we launch Tengri Sport — a dedicated sports website under a brand already familiar to Kazakhstanis

2024

We launch a new section — Tengri Auto. We update the mobile app and launch minister ratings. We also introduce scholarships for students at several Kazakh universities to support future journalists

2025

Tengrinews adds a news audio player and a new health section — Tengri Health.
