Tengrinews.kz - A man suspected of fraud has been detained in Saudi Arabia at Kazakhstan’s request, citing Polisia.kz.
The suspect was apprehended in Riyadh following a request from the Interpol National Central Bureau of the Kazakh Interior Ministry. He had previously been placed on an international wanted list on suspicion of committing a crime under Article 190, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan (“Fraud”).
It is known that in the summer of 2018, the suspect allegedly took five million tenge from a local resident in Almaty under the pretense of supplying fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan.
No other details about the suspect have been disclosed.
