ArcelorMittal Temirtau miners have not sent an offer to negotiate collective labor agreement to the company., Tengrinews.kz reports citing the company’s press-service. Commenting on the lawsuit filed by the miners the press-service of ArcelorMittal Temirtau said that the company had not received any notifications of the court hearing scheduled for January 24. The miners had already file a lawsuit to Temirtau court demanding that their collective agreement was amended with a clause about the 13th salary, but the court ruled out dismiss the claim without prejudice, the press-service noted. This happened because the miners’ trade union failed to follow the extrajudicial procedure of introducing amendments into the collective agreement required by Kazakhstan's labor legislation. The miners have requested amending the collective agreement with a clause on bonuses that would depend on the coal production at the end of each year. According to chairman of Korgau trade union Marat Mirgayazov, their attempt of mediation settlement was unsuccessful. The management of ArcelorMittal Temirtau refused to add the clause about a so-called 13th salary into the collective agreement and the miners decided to apply to court.
