Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev will hold a meeting of the foreign investors council, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the official representative of Kazakhstan President’s Central Communication Service Altay Abibullayev. “According to Kazakhstan President’s press-service, the 26th plenary meeting of the President’s foreign investors council will be held by Nursultan Nazarbayev on May 22 in Astana. The meeting will cover innovative development of Kazakhstan, investment climate and contribution of foreign investors into expansion of Kazakhstan content,” Abibullayev said at the briefing. During the meeting the President will have bilateral meetings with some of the members of the foreign investors council, he noted. The foreign investors council was established by the President in 1998 to improve the investment climate in Kazakhstan, as well as to step up interaction between the government and the leading foreign investors of Kazakhstan. The President will also take part in the 6th Astana Economic Forum and in the first global anti-crisis conference that will cover prospects of global economic growth, possible ways for its expansion and ways of countering excessive price fluctuations at global markets, Abibullayev said. The forum’s participants will also discuss development of innovative technologies, role of government investments in infrastructure projects, competitiveness at international markets, global risks and ways of their management. “Over 9 thousand participants have been registered for the forum, including world-famous experts, former presidents, public and political leaders and scientists,” Abibullayev said.
