Special Forces have “disarmed” a criminal group at Pavlodar quay, Tengrinews.kz reports. Pavlodar policemen demonstrated several special operations on elimination of criminals to the citizens during this years' Police Welcome Day in the central part of the quay in Pavlodar city. Pavlodar citizens witnessed the Special Rapid Reaction Unit policemen intercepting a car with armed criminals and disarming them after several warning shots. The Special Forces policemen also apprehended car thieves, drug dealers, found and disposed of explosive devices with the help of special water dispenser and also demonstrated shadow-fighting. Shooting, chasing and imitation of bomb explosions allowed the citizens to see for themselves that this “man’s work” is difficult and dangerous. “Well done, guys! They are well prepared. I think that we can set our mind at rest because we are well protected,” Anel Issakova, a Pavlodar resident, said. Special Forces demonstrated their fighting equipment and vehicles. They showed Pavlodar residents how to capture fingerprints, “catch” pickpockets and let them try on the special gear. Pavlodar student Svetlana Molchanova liked the body armor. “I have never thought that the body armor is that heavy. I am so impressed that policemen wear this extra 15 kilograms,” the girl said. Criminalists, Department for Organized Crime Control experts, administrative policemen and other Interior Ministry's employees share the “secrets” of their jobs. “The main goal of our campaign is to extent public relations, inform the residents of the results of internal affairs bodies' activities, promote police service and attract young people into the police ranks,” Sultan Kussetov, Department of Internal Affairs of Pavlodar oblast head said.
