Tengrinews.kz - Residents of northern Kazakhstan have shared photos and videos of unusually large hailstones, reportedly the size of quail eggs.
Forecasters had issued a weather warning ahead of the storm. On April 28, the North Kazakhstan region was expected to see thunderstorms, rain with possible large hail, fog, and wind gusts reaching up to 30 m/s.
Footage posted on social media shows sizable hail covering the ground across parts of the region.

On the night of April 30, temperatures could dip below freezing, with frost expected to range from 0 °C to -3 °C, forecasters added.
