Tengrinews.kz - Police in Astana have launched an investigation after a viral video showed two men vandalizing an elevator in a residential complex.
In the footage circulating on social media, the two young men, who appeared to be intoxicated, were seen banging on the elevator doors before hugging and kissing. One of them then ripped out a surveillance camera.
Astana police confirmed that a probe is underway.
"A check is being conducted to identify the offenders. Once their identities are established, appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the department said.

Earlier, six people impersonating police officers were detained in Almaty and the Almaty region.
