An additional specialized traffic legislation is expected to be drafted in 2012. The law will allow traffic policemen on duty to use residents' vehicles, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kanat Sadvakasov, head Coordination and Legal Work Department of Kazakhstan's Traffic Police. “We've got such a clause in our driving regulations. Right now we are doing our work relying only on our own resources, but in 2012 a new special law will be drafted and proposed to the parliament. All the international standards will be taken into account in the new draft law,” Sadvakasov said. He pointed out that so far there have been no cases of policemen using residents' personal cars to perform their duty. By Irina Mikhailova
