An amateur singer from Kazakhstan got a chance to sing with American rapper Nelly at the concert in Almaty last week, Tengrinews reports. The rapper performed at the Chivas the Art of Hosting event in the Ball Room of the Ritz-Carlton hotel. The singer visited Bishkek as part of his tour and album presentation, but then detoured to the nearby Almaty for the event. Tickets to the Nelly's concert weren't selling; people could get them only in radio draw-games. Well-known Kazakhstan show business figures Saken Zhaksybayev, Murat Muturganov, Assel Sagatova Lido were among Nelly's fans at the concert. Nelly said that he was glad to visit Kazakhstan. Besides, he made a surprise for one of the spectators at the end of the show. He selected a girl from the first row -- amateur singer Kristina Menisova -- and invited her to the stage. They performed the his famous song Dilemma together. Earlier, Nelly sang the song with Kelly Rowland. Nelly is an American hip hop recording artist, entrepreneur, investor and occasional actor from St. Louis, Missouri. He sold more than 30 million records and his seven tracks reached tops of the world charts. He won Grammy Awards in 2003 and 2004 and had a supporting role in the 2005 remake film The Longest Yard with Adam Sandler and Chris Rock. On December 11, 2009, Billboard ranked Nelly the number three Top Artist of the Decade.
