Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF) received 200 thousand Swiss francs ($218 000) from UEFA for development of football refereeing in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Izmail Bzarov, KFF PR Department head. This is just the first tranche of the financial aid from the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). It is expected that UEFA will transfer 100 000 euro ($130 000) to Kazakhstan Federation annually untill 2016. These funds have been allocated for Kazakhstan after the country joined UEFA Referee Convention. The Federation is planning to transfer the money to improve the situation at regional young referee schools. The schools will purchase manuals, video-cameras, notebooks, referee gear and attributes. “We are synchronizing our development of refereeing with the leading European countries. Our efforts include all-round referee trainings, theoretical and practical knowledge exchange, setting up a system of interaction between world and regional football communities. The aid will be transferred to Aktau and Temirtau, the towns whose young referees schools require support the most,” Alexander Mazmanyan, FFK Refereeing and Inspection Department head said.
