Three Kazakhstani crews made it to the Top-10 at the end of two Africa Eco Race-2015 stages, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.
The second stage of the rally marathon Africa Eco Race-2015 went from Zhorf El Hamam to Tagounite in Morocco on December 31. The total distance was 438 kilometers, of which 377 kilometers were special sections. French crew consisting of Mathieu Serradori and Didier Haquette won this stage, racing a buggy for team Predator under #211. Their time was 4 hours 21 minutes and 36 seconds.
The best result at this stage among the Kazakhstani crews was showed by Yuriy Sazonov and Arslan Sakhimov, racing a prototype Hummer H3 under the 216th number. Representing Mobilex Racing Team, they covered the distance in 4 hours, 27 minutes and 33 seconds and finished third in the group T1 and fourth in the general classification.
Thanks to this, Sazonov and Sakhimov rose to the second place in both the T1 group and the general classification after two stages, losing a minute and 32 seconds only to the crew of Miroslav Zapletal and Bartlomiej Boba, who race a Hummer H3 prototype.
The only motorcycle racer from Kazakhstan Vadim Pritulyak (104th number), racing for Mobilex Racing Team, has finished the stage first, and advanced to the third position in the general classification.
