Kazakhstan shooters won silver medals in the 5th Asian Airgun Championship, Vesti.kz reports. “The team managed to get the medal in 10-meter Air Pistol Men team competition. Kazakhstan team consisted of Rashid Yunusmetov, Vyacheslav Podlesny and Vladimir Issachenko,” sports website reports. Kazakhstan shooters scored 1732 points and yielded the first place only to Chinese team that scored 1745 points. Vietnamese shooters became third. Kazakhstan athletes also took part in the individual 10-meter Air Pistol Men tournament. Rashid Yunusmetov (5th place) and Vladimir Issachenko (8th place) made it into the final of the tournament. Vyacheslav Podlesny failed to qualify in this event. Asian Airgun Championship was held on December 12-18 in the Chinese city of Nanchang.
