Kazakhstan gymnast Anna Alyabyeva won a spot at the London Olympics, press-service of Astana physical culture, tourism and sport department told Tengrinews.kz. Kazakhstan gymnast was second after two qualification tournaments in Great Britain. Darya Kondakova from Russia was first. Alyabyeva had to get into the top five to win the spot. “I can say I feel released right now. I had the last chance to get to the Olympics and I didn’t miss it. It was a bit scary, as 25 people fought for the 5 spots and that made me nervous. Right now I’m happy. I’m happy that there were no visible mistakes and unnecessary emotions! Everything went smoothly, but of course I worried about the hoop the most. I didn’t think of winning a place, my goal was to get into the top five. And I achieved this goal!” Anna Alyabyeva said.
