Governor of Akmola Oblast Sergey Kulagin approved the new Mayor at the session of the city's Maslikhat (local executive body).
Zhomart Nurgaliyev, born in 1958, graduated from the Kostanay Pedagogic Institute. During his career, he served as Akim of Mendykarinsky district of Kostanay Oblast and Akim of Kostanay city.
Before the appointment, Zhomart Nurgaliyev held the post of Akim of the Auliekol district of the Kostanay region.
