Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with president of Alstom group of companies Patrick Kron in France, Kazakhstan President’s website writes.
They discussed Alstom's prospects in Kazakhstan. “Special attention will be given to the company’s participation in supplies of transport systems and in railroad transport projects, in particular in joint production of switch gears, technical maintenance of locomotives and training railroad personnel,” the press-service writes.
“Nazarbayev and Kron reviewed prospects of joint production of electric locomotives and opening of an assembly plant in Astana in the nearest future. Implementation of this project is called to first cover Kazakhstan’s internal market and alter movement on to foreign markets,” the message states.
Alstom is a major French manufacturing factory and one of the leaders in production of energy equipment and railroad transport. AGV high-speed train of the fourth generation is the company's most contemporary product in railroad transportation.
