National Agency for Export and Investment to run a US road-show to attract investors, including Apple and Google

Kazakhstan seeks to attract large US and Canadian companies to its industrialization programs, according to Kaznex Invest and the Ministry of Industry and New Technology. Kaznex Invest, the National Agency for Export and Investment, is mostly dedicated to promoting non-resource exports and aiding foreign investors. April 10-14 the Agency in partnership with the Ministry will be running a road-show to unveil investment opportunities offered by Kazakhstan. The road-show events have been arranged in Washington DC, New York, Chicago, San-Francisco, and Vancouver. The events will be supported by the two Kazakhstan’s embassies. The road-show seeks to attract large US and Canadian companies to joint investment projects within the State-run Program of Accelerated Industrial Development. Apple and Google are among the targeted prospect investors. The Kazakh delegation headed by Vice Ministers of Industry and New Technology is to meet representatives of Case New Holland, DARPA, Raytheon, Deere and Company, AGCO, Caterpillar, Orbital Sciences, Merck и GlaxoSmithKline, Du Pont, Transcosmos, IBM, Morgan Stanley, Ebay Inc, Amazon, and Cisco Systems.
