Kazakhstan is among the countries with low possibility of terrorist attacks in the rating of most dangerous and most safe countries of the world put together by British consulting firm Maplecroft. The firm developed a list based on the data on the number of terrorist attacks and number of victims of these attacks during the period of April 1, 2010 and April 1, 2011. During the analysis the terrorist acts that took place during the last five years were also taken into consideration. Another factor that mattered was the country’s proximity to the main terrorist hotspots. Scandinavian countries are listed among the least dangerous along with the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The list of 20 most dangerous countries is led by Somali that is home to multiple active Islamic terrorist groups. During the past year this 1.3 thousand people fell victims to terrorists in this African country. Pakistan is rated as second dangerous after Somali. It is following by Iraq, Afghanistan and South Sudan. The most dangerous list also includes Columbia, Algeria, Philippines, Thailand, Israel and Russia. The total 198 countries are represented in the rating.
