Kazakhstani enterprises are ready to export goods to Russia, Tengrinews reports citing the official website of Kazakhstan's Prime-Minister.

On August 14, a Kazakh delegation led by First Vice-Prime-Minister Bakhytzhan Sagintayev met with First Deputy-Prime-Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov in Moscow to discuss Kazakhstan’s participation in Russian import substitution program, application of the Convention on International Transport of Goods at the territory of the Customs Union (of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus), and Kazakhstan's exports of food products to Russia.

More than 20 Kazakh companies are ready to export flour, rice, buckwheat, onions, canned vegetables, honey and confectionery to Russia, First Deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Sagintayev said in Moscow.

Besides, Kazakhstan offered 60 of its companies willing to participate in Russia's import substitution program and supply machine and mining engineering products, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods and wood products, and construction materials.

They also discussed provision of passage for Kazakhstani vehicles through Russia to Kazakhstan under the Convention on International Transport of Goods.

The Russian and Kazakh Vice-Prime-Ministers took part in the regular meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, a permanent regulatory body of the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia (CU). They discussed further development of the Customs Union and Common Economic Space and made a decision to exempt all aircraft under 90 seats (according to LOPA certificate) imported to Kazakhstan in 2015-2017 from customs duty.

“Our Samruk-Kazyna Fund signed an agreement with Bombardier. We have already ordered a batch of airplanes. And now for them to be supplied we need to find a solution to exempt these aircrafts from customs duties,” Mr. Sagintayev is quoted as saying by 24.kz.

Besides, the participants of the meeting discussed feasibility of creation of a free trade zone with Egypt and considered Kyrgyzstan’s accession into the Customs Union and Common Economic Space.
