Kazakhstan is presenting its resorts at the 18th East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition 2014 (Emitt) in Turkey, Tengrinews reports citing the Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan. The event started in Istanbul, Turkey on January 30 and will continue until February 2. It is a good opportunity for Kazakhstan to popularize its resorts and culture. To demonstrate the scale to Kazakhstan's tourist attractiveness, the resorts located in and near Astana and Almaty cities, in South Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Atyrau and Mangystau regions are going to be presented at the event. EXPO -2017 to be held in Astana is going to be on a separate stand of the Kazakhstani exposition. The Kazakhstan team will also bring Kazakh national instrument music, felt-goods-making masterclass and Kazakh national cuisine for the presentation. During the first two days the exhibition is open for tourism professionals only, and following two day are for the public to visit. The Emitt exhibition was attended by almost 59 thousand tourism professionals and 72 thousand visitors from 67 countries last year. Tour operators, travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise operators, national tourist boards, transportation services, medical tourism providers and other tourism institutes from all over the world are taking part in the event.
