Tengrinews.kz – A festive fireworks display, funded by sponsors, will take place in Astana on Republic Day. The fireworks will be launched on October 25 at 9:00 PM in Triathlon Park (near the pier), according to the official website of the city administration.
In celebration of Republic Day, more than 100 cultural, educational, sports, and social events are planned in Astana, including concerts, exhibitions, roundtable discussions, and national sports tournaments. These events will be held at central venues, major sites, as well as in residential areas and educational institutions.
Republic Day: How to celebrate the holiday in Astana and Almaty
Kazakhstan celebrates Republic Day on October 25. The holiday dates back to 1990, when the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR adopted the declaration of state sovereignty. This document laid the foundation for the future constitutional law "On State Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan," which was passed on December 16, 1991. It established key principles for the newly independent state, including unitarism, sovereignty in international relations, and the inviolability of its territory.
