Mr. Kalmukhanbet Kasymov has been appointed the new Minister of Internal Affairs, replacing Mr. Serik Baimaganbetov who held the position from April 2, 2009 Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the Ministry’s press-service. Nursultan Nazarbayev introduced the new Minister today, April 12. From September 2009 Mr. Kasymov headed the Ministry’s Department for East Kazakhstan. Before that he served as Vice Minister of Internal Affairs.
