On Tuesday, Nursultan Nazarbayev attended the summit of the Customs Union heads of state, Ukraine’s President and reps of the EU.
On the same day, he had a bilateral meeting with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Minsk.
“Kazakhstan is ready to provide humanitarian aid to south-eastern Ukraine. I believe we need to help the entire Ukraine,” Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the meeting with Petro Poroshenko.
"If there is a humanitarian convoy, we are ready to get our Red Cross to participate. On our part, we are also ready to provide aid, in significant amounts if need be,” the President of Kazakhstan said in Minsk during the bilateral meeting.
He expressed hope for peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine. "If the conflict escalates, it may lead to a large global confrontation. Therefore, our position, my personal position is to find a common ground to stop the war and start the restoration," Nursultan Nazarbayev concluded.
