The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will create an Energy Club to discuss energy projects, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports citing the sources in Russian government. “We expecting this platform to start operating next February,” the sources said. He explained that such large-scale energy projects as construction of high-voltage lines from Tajikistan to India via Afghanistan and Pakistan require “serious political support”. The club will include representatives of energy ministries of the SCO member-states, as well as leading energy companies.
