The agreement on transformation of EurAsEC had not been signed at the summit in Moscow, because Kazakhstan objected to creation of the Eurasian Economic Union, Belarus president Aleksander Lukashenko said in an interview to RT channel on Wednesday, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports. Speaking of the transformation of the Eurasian Economic Community, Lukashenko said: "We really did not sign this draft agreement. Why? Because Kazakhstan was strongly against the economic union." "Kazakhstan objected to our suggestions, the suggestions of Russia and Belarus, while we were on the same page supporting the signing of the agreement. We said: "Yes, the agreement has to be signed." They (Kazakhstan) said that there is no need to speed up this process: "We agreed to create the union in 2015, so let's make it in 2015," president of Belarus explained. According to him, a previous agreement was that Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will be in Eurasian Economic Union in 2015. "Russian party suggested to speed up this process. Belarus party supported them, emphasizing two points," Lukashenko said. In particular, he explained that the draft agreement on the Eurasian Economic Commission chaired by Viktor Khristenko provides for a right to sign agreements on behalf of all three countries at the international arena. "I literally said: "We are not against. If this is a stumbling block, we will agree for it," Lukashenko said.
