Kazakhstan’s boxer and WBA (World Boxing Association) Middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin has sent a title fight invitation to German boxer Felix Sturm, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Vesti.kz. “We have offered Sturm to fight for the champion’s title. The fight might take place wherever and whenever it is be possible and can be broadcasted by any TV channel,” Tom Leffler, Gennady Golovkin representative said. Felix Sturm is a former WBA Middleweight Champion. He yielded his title to Australian boxer Daniel Geale on September 1. Besides Golovkin’s offer the German boxer has also received an offer to fight against WBO (World Boxing Organization) Super Middleweight Champion Arthur Abraham. There is still no information which for the invitations Felix Sturm would choose to honor. However, Gennady Golovkin’s managers say they are doing their best to organize this fight.
