Tengrinews.kz – The woman who, according to the prosecution, offered to reduce the sentence Kuandyk Bishimbayev for 100 million tenge, made her final statement in court.
Lyudmila Gracheva complained about the conditions of detention.
"During these six months of my arrest, I have seen psychological pressure from the investigator, law enforcement agencies, place where I am now. I am in a cell under video surveillance 24/7. In a cell where eight people are held, each is entitled to two square meters. They are putting murderers of adults and children with me, in the literal sense, I have to fight for my life. All this is done by the law enforcement system so that a person at the pre-trial investigation stage is psychologically suppressed and intimidated and gives a confession," Gracheva said in court.
The defendant also mentioned her children.
"For several months, my lawyers have been passing me letters from my children, because we are prohibited from having visits. I missed two birthdays. These are the best days for children, which will never be repeated. They were just waiting for a call from me, so that I could simply congratulate them. I am entitled to a call by right, with the permission of the investigator. But even this was denied to me. It turns out that from the moment of my arrest I have been deprived of everything. Only from my lawyers do I learn how they solve their boyish problems, that they are both excellent students at school," she added.
Earlier, the court in Astana began the proceedings against a woman who allegedly offered 100 million tenge to help reduce the sentence of Kuandyk Bishimbayev, who was convicted of murdering Saltanat Nukenova.
