Nazarbayev told about three lucky numbers of Kazakhstan Olympic team, Tengrinews.kz reports. “The essence of the London triumph of our Olympians lays in three numbers: 7, 13 and 12. Kazakhstan sportsmen won 7 gold Olympic medals. Our Olympic harvest grew 3.5-fold compared to the Beijing Games. I and all Kazakhstan people were proud to hear Kazakhstan’s anthem and see our flag hoisted for 7 times in London to commemorate the victories of our sportsmen. 13 is the total number of all Olympic medals won by our sportsmen. Besides the gold medals, there are 1 silver and 5 bronze medals. Number 12 is our current Olympic rating. Our team made an unbelievable breakthrough. Kazakhstan became one of the leading sport countries among 205 national teams: this is a huge victory for our people,” President said during the official ceremony in commemoration of Kazakhstan Olympic sportsmen in the Independence Palace. “Kazakhstan’s 20 most successful Olympic sportsmen represent 14 of 16 country’s regions. You will see: if every region raises one Olympic gold winner, it will be enough for us, honestly,” Nazarbayev said and spoke about every sportsman separately.
