Kazakhstan is poised to join G20, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev. “Being an active participant of the discussion of the current situation in the world at the G20 forum, Kazakhstan de facto found itself in this contemporary global development club. And now our task is to work on making this status de jure in time,” Nazarbayev said at the Eurasia Emerging Markets Forum in Astana on September 10. Last week Nursultan Nazarbayev delivered a speech at the G20 summit in Saint-Petersburg and voiced suggestions on how to cope with the repercussions of the global financial crisis.
