According to the latest data, nearly 6 million people traveled within the country during the first nine months of 2024. The exact figure was 5 million 973 thousand Kazakhstani people, which is 562 thousand more than the same period last year. In 2023, this number was 5.4 million people. In 2022, 4 million 858 thousand residents of Kazakhstan vacationed within the country.
The most popular destinations among travelers are Almaty, Astana, and Akmola region.
By the way, according to data from the corporate foundation Turistik Kamkor, from January 1 to December 1 of this year, 1,002,802 tourists from Kazakhstan traveled abroad. For comparison, this figure for the entire year of 2023 was 794,194 people.
