Kazakhstan citizens purchased common shares of KazTransOil national company for the total amount of 1.4 billion tenge ($9.3 million) as of yesterday, Tengrinews.kz reports citing deputy chairman of Samruk-Kazyna Kuandyk Bishimbayev as saying at the press-conference in Astana. KazTransOil national company is the first company floated as part of the People's IPO in Kazakhstan. “As of November 26, the total of 16,200 broker applications were opened and 4,668 of these applications were filled in by individuals who purchased common shares of KazTransOil for the total amount of 1.4 billion tenge. Overall the total of 10 thousand applications were filed for purchase of shares worth 5.7 billion tenge ($38 million),” Kuandyk Bishimbayev told the journalists.
