Car falls in two in accident in Almaty

Mitsubishi Lancer fell to pieces smashing into a concrete support pole of the underground crossing in Almaty, Accidents Territory show of STV channel reports. The accident happened at the crossing of Ryskulov and Krylov streets. There were three people in the car. One of the passengers was killed in the accident, while the driver and the other passenger were hospitalized by the ER doctors. They are both in a heavy condition. The strong crash ripped off the car’s cowl; one wheel and a part of the car parts flew inside the underground crossway with pieces scattered as far as 10 meters away from the car. The car’s engine caught fire after the accident. The witnesses heard the sound of the crash and rushed to help. A fire-firefighters team arrived shortly after and extinguished the fire. A similar accident happened in Almaty on February 21. The accident happened at night on February 21 at the crossing of Abay and Mukanov streets from the side of Mukhtar Auezov theater. A black Toyota Camry 40 with 4 young women inside, moving in western direction got off the road and smashed first into a metal advertisement box then into a concrete lighting pole. The force of the crash ripped the car in halves. Only one young woman out of four survived the accident.
