Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstanis surprised by unusual light phenomena in the sky.
A reader wrote to our editorial number on WhatsApp and told us about an interesting case. According to the eyewitness, on the evening of October 20, at about 7:15 p.m., he observed lights moving in a straight line, which then disappeared.
"We saw these lights in the sky, they were moving in a straight line, and then they disappeared," said Tengrinews.kz reader, who had previously noticed the glow on the way from Pavlodar to Astana.
Tengrinews.kz also received similar messages from other Kazakhstanis. For example, a resident of Ekibastuz confirmed that he had seen similar lights on the way to the capital. A video of this unusual phenomenon also appeared online, where users actively discussed a possible explanation for what they saw.
@vseobovsem_pvl Вчера около 19.15 по дороге из Павлодара в Астану мы наблюдали такие огоньки в небе в ровном ряду, потом они пропадали. Как думаете что это)??

Many suggested that this could be related to the satellites of Elon Musk's company.
"These are Elon Musk's satellites that usually lie around at the same time", "I thought that everyone already knew about them", "I saw them yesterday from Rudny on Vasilyevka", "I saw this in the spring at about 12 o'clock at night in Petropavlovsk and counted 48 of them, but no one believed me", "I saw this yesterday in Kostanay", "Santa Claus is already flying", - users wrote in the comments.
Earlier, media reported on the launch of a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 20 Eutelsat OneWeb satellites into low Earth orbit. The rocket was launched early in the morning of October 20 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The first stage of the rocket successfully returned to Earth, landing in the landing zone approximately eight minutes after liftoff, marking the seventh successful landing for this particular stage. The upper stage of the rocket continued to deliver the satellites into orbit and deployed them within 20 minutes.
By the way, earlier a Kazakhstani was able to capture interesting and unique footage of a comet flying in the sky over the Akmola region. We provided more details in the article.
