Tengrinews.kz - An earthquake was recorded in Kazakhstan, 684 kilometers from Almaty, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
The tremors were detected by the seismic station network of the National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research under the MES on March 12 at 06:15 A.M.
"The epicenter was located in Kazakhstan, 684 kilometers southwest of Almaty, 14 kilometers from the village of Dostyk in the Keles district of the Turkestan region, and on the territory of Uzbekistan," the MES said in a statement.
The intensity of the earthquake reached 3 magnitude points in the village of Abai, Keles district, and 3 points in the city of Saryagash, Saryagash district.
No casualties or damage have been reported, according to the ministry.
Previously, on March 11, residents of southern Kazakhstan felt the tremors of an earthquake.
