Tengrinews.kz - Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek announced the creation of a cancer drug in Kazakhstan.
According to the minister, active clinical trials are currently ongoing.
"We completed second-level clinical trials last year. The number of patients we work with has been expanded. It is tested for all types of cancer. Last year, we tested only for colon cancer. We plan to register this drug and enter the market by the end of this year. The results are very good, stable, and many patients have responded well," Nurbek said at a government briefing.
According to him, patients who participated in the drug testing began to experience remissions (disappearance or reduction of disease symptoms - ed.), and the size of tumors decreased by an average of 30%.
"We will hold a conference and present it by the end of this year. The Ministry of Health is helping us a lot here. We have now shortened the procedures as much as possible without causing any damage. This will give us the opportunity to register the medicine by the end of this year," the minister added.
Earlier, it became known that Kazakh scientists continue to conduct clinical trials of the developed anti-cancer drug.
