Tengrinews.kz – Altai and Ulan districts in East Kazakhstan region have switched to a new work schedule.
The work day starts at 8 AM on March 12 in the settlements of the Altai district, whose residents have agreed to come to work an hour earlier.
"Meetings on changing the work schedule were held in all settlements of the Altai district. People supported the initiative to optimize working hours by adjusting work schedules. These measures are aimed at improving the physical condition of workers, creating more comfortable conditions for citizens," said the akim of the Altai district, Renat Kurmambayev.
According to the department of internal policy of the district, on March 11, meetings with the population were held in the cities of Altai and Serebryansk. As an example, they cited the experience of seven districts of the East Kazakhstan region, which have already switched to a new work schedule. In the districts of Markakol, Ulken Naryn, Samar, as well as in Zaisansky, Kurchumsky, Tarbagataisky, Katon-Karagaysky, residents begin their working day at 8 AM, finish at 5:30 PM with a lunch break from 12 PM to 1:30 PM.
Residents of the Altai district supported this initiative and agreed that such a work schedule is much more convenient.
"The Altai district maslikhat has been switching to a new work schedule for six months. Since employees have small children, they need to get to kindergartens at 08:00, take their children to school, and some live in private houses where they have to get up earlier, and industrial enterprises also work from 8 AM, so there will no longer be such a gap in the work schedule between budgetary organizations, the civil service, and industrial enterprises. This is very convenient," explained the chairperson of the district maslikhat, Larisa Grechushnikova.
Also, from March 12, residents of the Ulan district will come to work from 8 AM.
