Tengrinews.kz – American billionaire Elon Musk, who oversees the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), stated that the cyberattack on his social network X was carried out from IP addresses located in Ukraine.
As reported by Deutsche Welle, Musk made this statement in an interview with Fox Business.
One commentator on X suggested that the large-scale outage was linked to mass protests against the activities of Musk-led DOGE and attacks on Tesla stores, but provided no evidence.
According to DW, a pro-Palestinian hacker group Dark Storm Team, which has previously targeted websites and organizations in the U.S., Ukraine, UAE, and Israel, claimed responsibility for the disruption of the social network.
It is worth noting that X experienced an outage on Monday. According to Downdetector.com, the peak of the disruptions occurred in the morning Washington time (closer to the evening in Astana time). At that moment, around 40,000 users reported being unable to access the X website and app or experiencing issues with content loading.
Musk wrote on his account that X is under a massive cyberattack. According to him, either a large coordinated group or possibly an entire state is involved in the attack.
