Tengrinews.kz - The Ministry of Science and Higher Education spoke about partnerships with other countries.
It was reported that Kazakhstan has established 34 strategic partnerships with universities from 12 countries. The country hosts 23 branches of leading universities from the UK, Italy, China, Russia, the USA, France, and South Korea.
"We strive to strengthen Kazakhstan as a center for educational and scientific exchange in Central Asia by attracting top partners from around the world. The opening of foreign university branches and the growing interest of international students in our education confirm that we are on the right path," said Sayasat Nurbek at an extended meeting of the ministry’s board.
Currently, 31,500 foreign students are studying in Kazakhstan, with the number of students from Asia have now exceeded the number of students from CIS countries.
