Strong wind is forecasted in Zhambyl oblast of Kazakhstan again, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports citing press-secretary of Zhambyl oblast Emergency Situations Department Saule Munatayeva. According to her, the Department has received the forecast from the oblast branch of KazhydroMet (national weather service). According to the weather service, the wind's speed will reach 17-22 meters per second with bursts of up to 30 meters per second on January 15 and at night of January 16. Besides, the situation will be made more complicated by snow, fog, glaze and snowdrift. In this relation, the Emergency Situations Department has calls everyone to restrain from the trips in the oblast. A severe wind storm hit Zhambyl oblast last Saturday leaving the residents of several villages, Zhanatas and Karatau towns without electricity, water, gas and communications. Power lines were broken, roofs of houses, hospitals, schools were ripped off, trees and road signs were fallen in Taraz and the oblast.
