Three of ten Kazakhstanis with different level of confidence do not exclude the possibility of terrorist attacks in Kazakhstan. 22.5 percent of respondents deem terrorist attacks quite possible and another 8.5 of Kazakhstan citizens are sure that they are “inevitable”. According to the poll, 31.8 percent of Muslims are confident that the attacks are possible. This is more than representatives of other religious groups. In terms of regions, citizens of West Kazakhstan (55.1 percent) are more confident in possibility of terrorist attacks than others. However, the majority of the country citizens do not expect any terrorist attacks. 41.1 percent are sure that attacks are unlikely and 16.3 percent of respondents deem them impossible.
