Positive dynamics are noted in all key economic indicators. The volume of investments for the first 9 months of this year amounted to 1 trillion 140 billion tenge, which is 16 percent higher than the same period in 2023.
The President was informed about the progress of the heating season. Thanks to the launch of the Yugo-Vostok gas heating plant, the first stage of the Turan GHP and the first stage of the TPP-3 last year, the city has achieved a heat surplus for the first time. These life support facilities provided Astana with more than 1,100 Gcal/hour.
By the end of the year, it is planned to complete the second stage of the Turan GHP, which will provide an additional 250 Gcal/hour. In addition, work has begun on the construction of the Telmana GHP and the design of the Yugo-Zapad GHP with a total capacity of 970 Gcal/hour.
The head of state was informed about the construction of social facilities (schools, affordable subsidized housing, medical centers), the completion of the construction of long-term housing complexes, and the demolition of dilapidated housing. In particular, 15 of the planned 24 schools were commissioned in the new academic year, 9 of them within the framework of the Comfortable School national project. By the new year, 6 student dormitories for almost 4.5 thousand places will be built, 4 of them are already functioning.
Zhenis Kasymbek also reported that to date, about 170 courtyards and public spaces have been improved in the capital, more than 70 streets have been repaired. It is planned to plant a million trees and shrubs.
Following the meeting, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave a number of instructions on modernizing the infrastructure, further development and improvement of Astana.
