Louder brighter: The Spirit of Tengri to be seen from space
Preparations for The Spirit of Tengri are almost over. Konstantin Bykov of the KZ Sound talked about lightening and sound equipment that will be used at the festival. The new powerful lightening system would make the festival visible from space.
In the meanwhile organizers of the Spirit of Tengri festival are putting finishing strokes, a Kazakhstani band Roksonaki is rehearsing last chords. They are going to perform five songs at the festival. The band originated in the 1990s. They started with ethno rock and then slowly changed their repertoire by adding more folk songs.
Roksonaki band treasures the natural sound of Kazakh instruments. In addition to Kazakh instruments, the musicians use foreign instruments such as Australian aboriginal didjeridoo. They bring new instrument from their tours to Kazakhstan.
