Tengrinews.kz - A Rwandan athlete disappeared without a trace before the start of the Paralympic Games in Paris. There has been no information about her whereabouts for about two weeks.
The unidentified athlete was supposed to participate in the Paralympics opening ceremony on August 27, but she went missing seven days before the event.
"According to a police source, on August 20 at around 7 p.m., the Olympic sitting volleyball player left the camp in the Paris area, where her delegation was staying, to go to a restaurant. She never returned. Her disappearance was reported on Tuesday by the President of the Rwanda Olympic Committee," Ouest France reports.
According to the media, the prosecutor’s office confirmed the start of an investigation and appointed a special team to work on it.

Earlier, a 21-year-old woman working on the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics was found dead in her own home.
