President Tokayev arrived in Shymkent on April 11 as part of a working visit to review the city’s socio-economic development.

Tokayev held talks with Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, National Bank Chairman Timur Suleimenov, and other senior officials to discuss the state of the economy amid a sharp decline in energy and commodity prices triggered by global tariff disputes.
