Tengrinews.kz – Vice Minister of Digital Development Askhat Orazbek explained how many SIM cards one individual in Kazakhstan will be able to register.
According to the official, at this stage, the limit is 10 SIM cards per person.
"This is just a proposal for now. We are offering 10 SIM cards for now. We'll see later," Orazbek explained.
The Vice Minister clarified that all SIM cards that will be registered to one person must be linked to the IMEI of the device that he uses.
"This way, we will understand that fraudsters will not be able to use our citizens' SIM cards without control. For commercial organizations and legal entities, we have the following approach: they will have to provide information about how each SIM card that they connect to the network will be used," added Askhat Orazbek.
Earlier, The Ministry of Digital Development has proposed new rules for the sale of SIM cards to individuals in Kazakhstan.
