Tengrinews.kz – The Committee of the Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs provided data on how many foreigners received Individual Identification Numbers (IIN) in Kazakhstan since the beginning of 2024.
The committee provided its answer in response to a parliamentary inquiry from the Ak Zhol party.
"In 2024, 435 408 foreigners obtained IINs (of which: Russia - 233 013, Uzbekistan - 121 719, China - 25 654, Tajikistan - 13 846, Kyrgyzstan - 9 308). In 2023 - 376 966 (of which: Russia - 181 271, Uzbekistan - 114 153, China - 15 795, Kyrgyzstan - 14 322, Tajikistan - 14 175). Due to the fact that IINs do not grant the right to enter and stay in Kazakhstan, statistics on foreigners who have left and are staying with IINs are not kept, and it is not possible to provide information on this issue," the response of the Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan says.
Earlier, it was reported that the Ministry of Internal Affairs launched an investigation into advertisements for registration of IINs abroad.
